The Concrete Society is delighted to announce its return to the UK Concrete Show, taking place 25–26 March 2026 at the NEC Birmingham.
Visitors will find the Society on Stand E24 within the Find Your Community area—an ideal space for members to learn about the latest Society initiatives and for industry professionals to discover how the Society continues to support and elevate the concrete community.
Concrete Society Awards
At the heart of the exhibition floor, attendees can explore a showcase of the 2025 Overall Winner and Highly Commended projects. The display will also provide full details on how to enter the 2026 Awards, along with a first look at the refreshed branding being introduced this year. It’s an inspiring opportunity to see excellence in concrete design and construction up close.
Concrete Connect Seminar Theatre
The Society will host technical sessions across both days of the show, offering valuable insights into current research and innovation:
- Properties of ternary and calcined clay concretes
Led by members of the Concrete Society Task Group updating Technical Report 74: Cementitious Materials, this session will explore how ternary cements and calcined clay blends influence the performance and properties of modern concrete.
- Using maturity monitoring to establish element strength for identity testing
Presented with data from Balfour Beatty Vinci, this seminar examines how digital maturity monitoring can be used to determine element strength for identity testing—providing a practical alternative to traditional compressive strength assessments.
Regional Assembly
During the event, the Society will also convene its Regional Assembly, bringing together Officers from each Region. This collaborative forum is designed to share best practices, exchange ideas, and ensure that the Society continues to meet the needs of its members and contribute meaningfully to the wider concrete industry.
