The Concrete Society Awards: Honour and Prestige
With maturity comes a certain authority and prestige. The Concrete Society Awards were first held in 1968; Prince Philip presented the winners with their prizes in 1969. Since then, well over 600 UK projects have been rewarded for excellence in the use of concrete. Many of the country’s most celebrated buildings and structures have tasted success at the Society Awards.
2026 marks the 58th staging of the annual Awards Dinner; it is one of the longest-running programmes in the UK construction industry. Today, the Society’s awards scheme continues to attract notable projects that demonstrate outstanding conception, development and execution with concrete.
