For sole traders, students and anyone interested in concrete.
The Concrete Society is an equal opportunities employer and is fully committed to creating a culture in which equality, diversity and inclusivity are promoted actively. By extension, at meetings and events arranged by the Society we are fully committed to ensuring that everyone is treated with dignity and respect and your support of this aim is required.
As an organisation we expect all our employees to have a safe environment to work in. As part of this, we will not tolerate any aggressive, suggestive, obscene acts or language, indecent behaviour, or any form of harassment, bullying or victimisation based on a protected characteristic (age, race, religion/belief, sex, sexual orientation, gender transformation, disability, pregnancy, or marital status) either on Company premises or venues used for Concrete Society events and meetings.
At the heart of the Concrete Society are our members. To serve our membership and deliver our objectives it is essential that the Society hosts meetings and events which are attended by Society members, staff and other stakeholders. To this end there is an expectation that everyone involved in a Concrete Society meeting or event should always conduct themselves with the upmost respect for each other, both during the event and in any extended networking that may take place prior to, or after the event.
Our commitment to our members:
- We set high expectations of our staff with regards to their behaviour and standards of conduct, to ensure they are respectful and professional in all that they do in representing the Concrete Society and our sector.
- We select appropriate venues for our meetings and events and aim to deliver a professional experience for all in attendance.
- We treat all enquiries for the services offered by the Society in an honest, professional, and respectful manner.
Our expectation of our members:
- We ask all our members to engage constructively and respectfully with other members, guests and Concrete Society employees throughout Concrete Society meetings and events and in any activity where you are representing the Concrete Society or collaborating with Concrete Society staff.
- We encourage collaboration and networking and set an expectation that together we create an inclusive and respectful environment that enables everyone to participate and share ideas.
We look forward to welcoming you at future Concrete Society meetings and events.
