We’re excited to welcome Renaissance, a leading Structural and Civil Engineering firm, as they share insights into their award-winning Stockport Interchange project.
Principal Engineer Antony Dewar will take us behind the scenes with an in-depth walkthrough of this landmark development, exploring the challenges faced, the innovative solutions applied, and the successes that have made this project a cornerstone in Stockport’s regeneration.
The interchange benefits the local community by providing an active travel hub and gateway to Stockport town centre. Curvature and exposed concrete are used to create a feeling of fluidity and openness, as long-span reinforced concrete beams house the bus station under and support ‘Viaduct Park’ over, with a central ‘oculus’ opening.
This session will include a 20 minute presentation, followed by 10 minutes of Q&A.
