Terms and Conditions

Please note that submissions will only be considered for the awards when payment is complete. From these paid submissions, a shortlist will be drawn.

The judges have the right to reject any submission for which the documentation does not, in the opinion of two or more judges, comply with the guidelines stated above. Judges also reserve the right to allocate the project to a particular category should this approach be considered appropriate for the presentation of awards. For shortlisted projects to be judged for an award, judges must be allowed access for a site visit.

All material submitted in connection with entries shall become the property of the Concrete Society Ltd. The Concrete Society reserves the right, without the payment of fees or royalties, to make whatever use it may consider desirable of all material submitted in connection with the entries, including the publication of photographs and names, and to select from the entries, at its own discretion, material for exhibition or publication, irrespective of the results of the awards.

The judging panel will comprise Concrete Society staff and external judges of the Society’s choice. The decision of the judges shall be binding on all parties. The discretion of the judges to make an award is absolute and there is no minimum or maximum number of awards for any particular year. No form of discussion or correspondence relating to any decisions will be entered into by any of the Judges.

Entrants will be notified in writing/email once the Judges have reached their shortlist decision. The shortlist is published in Concrete magazine in the July edition. Public announcement of the Concrete Society Awards will take place on Wednesday 11 November 2026 at The Royal Lancaster Hotel, Lancaster Terrace, London. Post-event, Concrete magazine will include a detailed report on the Awards, based on the material submitted by entrants and the judges. Winners will be announced at the Awards Dinner and not before.

By submitting an entry for this award, the party making the submission hereby warrants to the judges and to the Concrete Society Ltd that it owns the copyright to all of the plans, photographs and other images submitted, or has obtained the copyright owners’ consent to the submissions and the potential use of them as outlined in the paragraphs above, and the party making the submission hereby indemnifies the Concrete Society and Judges against any liability that may arise out of the submission to, or the use by, the Concrete Society of any such plans, photographs or other images, howsoever arising.

All shortlisted projects will receive a ‘Certificate’ in advance of the awards being announced. From the shortlisted projects, a number will be judged as Highly Commended and one as the Overall Winner. Each winner will receive a certificate and a specially designed trophy.

Presentation of all the winners’ awards will be made to the project nominee, or their representative, by the Concrete Society’s guest host during the Awards evening. Certificates will be posted after the event. Copies of the certificates will be available on request, at a small charge, for the other companies shown on the nomination form. Replica trophies can be ordered after the event, where appropriate.

Specialist sector awards sponsored by industry bodies are often featured. Separate application must be made for these directly to the relevant specialist sector.
