Reference Search is a bibliographic database of published information about concrete, with value added by the assignment of specialist thesaurus index terms. The database is the intellectual property of The Concrete Society and is protected by UK and international copyright law. It is licensed for use under the following terms and conditions:

Access
Access is through The Concrete Society’s web page www.concrete.org.uk Click on the Reference Search icon or go to Concrete Vault
Log in using the username and password assigned by us.
Please contact us if you have lost your password.

Annual Subscription
Three levels of subscription are available:
For a single user;
For several named users on one corporate site;
For users on multiple sites or available to multiple users over an intranet.
Subscriptions are available for the Reference Search licence alone, or to include copy of articles identified by Reference Search.
Discounts
Discounts are available for members of the Concrete Society.
Subscription includes access to Reference Search for one calendar year.
Free training and help is included.
Reference Search is updated regularly.
Subject coverage of Reference Search is worldwide, over more than twenty years, and includes production, usage and properties of concrete and related materials.
Trial
You may request a free trial subscription to Reference Search. This trial covers access to the database for one week and does not include free copies of any article. Free help and assistance is available by telephone or email.

Subscription payment
You can make payment to us by one of the following methods:
| • | Credit / Debit cards – VISA / MASTERCARD / DELTA / SWITCH. You can pay by credit or debit card if placing your order by telephone, post, fax or email. |
| • | Cheques which must be in pounds sterling and drawn on a UK bank are payable to ‘The Concrete Society’ |
| • | Bank draft or payment by electronic transfer (BACS, Sprint or wire) may be made directly to our bank. Please email us for details. Note that you must accept bank charges |
VAT: software and services such as copying are liable to Value Added Tax.
Please note that either payment or a company Purchase Order is required before we make available your licence.

Download pdf Articles
Articles available for immediate download from Reference Search are priced at £5.00 each including copyright fee. They are provided to you for your own personal use and may not be circulated electronically or placed on a website or intranet without our express permission.
Payment or a company Purchase Order must be received before download is enabled. You may pay directly and securely by credit card through the website.
The pdf will be available for you to download for three days only. Collect your article from My Downloads box.

Full Text Articles
Reference Search is supported by the Concrete Society library, from which a copy of an article may be requested.
You may arrange to visit the library to view material.
Loans of some material may be made to members of the Concrete Society only.
We can photocopy or scan documents and supply them by mail, fax, or email.
Copies of material are available subject to copyright law.
Copyright Declaration (Ref: Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988)
Copyright law applies internationally and requires you to complete and sign a copyright declaration form for each article requested. The Copyright Licencing Authority charges a fee for each article requested for commercial purposes. This is £7.65 plus VAT
Only one article from any periodical issue can be supplied, or no more than 5%, or one chapter (whichever is less) of a book.
For commercial research there is a minimum charge £7.65 +VAT per item and a charge made +VAT per article; for private study the minimum charge is £5 per order with a charge per article + VAT.
You must declare whether the items requested are for purposes of private study or commercial research, where commercial research covers all research that is carried out for a company or for a form of remuneration.
Only one copy may be supplied and you must declare that you have not been supplied with a copy of the same material before or by any other librarian, and that you will not supply a copy of it to any other person. If you receive the item by an electronic method, including facsimile, you will retain only a single paper copy and destroy any electronic copies after printing. You must also state that to the best of your knowledge no other person with whom you work or study has made or intends to make, at or about the same time as this request, a request for substantially the same material for substantially the same purpose.
You must sign the form yourself. A stamped or typewritten signature or the signature of an agent is not sufficient.
Please send the signed and completed copyright declaration form with your request to us by mail, fax or scanned copy by email. We must receive it before dispatching your request.
We must receive payment before despatch of your order.
