Worker dies at Cemex plant

|
A man has died at the Cemex UK cement plant at Rugby and a colleague has suffered a broken arm. The two contractors were working at the site during the annual maintenance shutdown. The HSE has been informed and Cemex is co-operating with its investigation.

Race starts for £30m Bath University student halls

The University of Bath is looking for a contactor to deliver new-build student accommodation of up to 850 beds. Several precast frame blocks are proposed, ranging from five to nine storeys. The deadline for expressions of interest is 9 February.
