Contractors look to energy sector to secure workload
Six out of ten civil engineering contractors are looking to the energy sector to provide their future income as road spending dries up. This is according to a New Civil Engineering survey to be published next month. The survey covered 130 UK civil engineering contractors.

New Part L could face six-month delay

Lafarge to collect waste cement
Lafarge UK has introduced a cement collection and recycling service to help reduce waste going to landfill. Builders´ merchants can use their existing ordering system to arrange for out-of-date packed cement to be collected straight from their yard; the new arrangements apply to undamaged bags, whether the merchant wishes to dispose of one bag or a full lorry load.
