Precast Eurocode 2 design manual

Precast Eurocode 2: Design Manual, published by the British Precast Concrete Federation, summarises material that will commonly be used in the design of concrete building structures to Eurocode 2, focusing on precast concrete elements. With extensive referencing, the reader is guided through the relevant parts of Eurocode 2 (BS EN 1992-1-1) and the associated UK National Annex. Chapters cover:

  General principles
  Material properties
  Structural analysis
  Prestressed concrete
  Initial sizing of members
  Design for ultimate limit state
  Design for serviceability limit state
  Tying requirements
  Connections, bearings and general detailing.

There are three Appendices that give design aids for columns under axial load and bending, reinforced concrete members in bending and prestressed members in bending.

A sister publication, Precast Eurocode 2: Worked examples, complements the design manual; together they aim to promote a better understanding of Eurocode 2.
