Glass Reinforced Concrete Association

The Association was formed in 1976 and is generally known as the GRCA. It is funded by Membership subscriptions, literature sales and proceeds from seminars and conferences. It is governed by a Council of Members, currently 14 in number, who are elected on a three year basis. The Chairman is elected by members at the Annual General Meeting and has a two year term of office. The Vice-chairman is also elected at the same and automatically becomes Chairman as the current Chairman's period of office expires.

Cement Industry Suppliers Forum
|

Was formed in 1996 under a British Cement Association initiative to develop
closer links between the cement companies and their suppliers of plant, materials and services, and to provide a
focus for information about the industry. The CISF offers a monthly updating service, research services, an annual
conference and a programme of industry site visits. It is administered by the Concrete Society’s information
service, formerly part of the BCA.

The International Federation for Structural Concrete
|
The International Federation for Structural Concrete, usually referred to as fib (fédération internationale du béton) is a non-profit organisation created in 1998 by merging the Comité Euro-International du Béton (CEB) and Fédération Internationale du Précontrainte (FIP). These bodies had existed independently since 1952.
The objectives of fib are to develop at an international level the study of scientific and practical matters capable of advancing the technical, economic, aesthetic and environmental performance of concrete construction.
The UK National Group works to support the objectives of fib and the interests of its membership.

The Institute of Concrete Technology
|
|
Was formed in 1972, Full membership is open to all those who have obtained the Diploma in Advanced Concrete Technology. The Institute is internationally recognised and the Diploma has world-wide acceptance as the leading qualification in concrete techology. The Institute sets high educational standards and requires its members to abide by a Code of Professional Conduct, thus enhancing the Professional Affiliate body of the UK Engineering Council.
