External representation
|
One of The Concrete Society’s key roles in industry is to attend committees, steering groups, councils and other externally run meetings. Some of this work is funded by the particular project, otherwise the input by Society staff is as ‘time in kind’. Contributing to these working groups helps to develop understanding in the use of concrete, assisting in producing state-of-the-art reports, recommendations and practical guides, initiating and undertaking R&D, and stimulating innovation. Some of the committees attended by Society staff are given below. Our Members also attend many committee meetings on behalf of the Society, in particular for British Standards.
